AFTER MORE THAN THIRTY FOUR YEARS AS A CHRISTIAN, I have come to an amazing place in life. The posts in this weblog are my attempts to communicate the head-shaking, mind blowing things that have changed my thinking forever. It all has to do with some new understanding I have received about the Gospel, “the good news” of the Lord Jesus Christ. I have become convinced that “There Is No Bad News In The Good News”.
I want to acknowledge someone who has come to mean so very much to me. His name is Mike Williams, the founder and president of the Gospel Revolution Ministry. Though I do appreciate so many others that have helped me along the way, it is Mike’s clear teaching’s about grace, judgment, freedom, and faith that have revamped my perspective completely. This man’s leadership in the study of Scripture and the New Testament writings “in context” has unveiled the truth of the Gospel like no one else I have ever heard. I recommend his website: gospelrevolution.com as an awesome resource for reality. I encourage any genuine seeker to go there and download Mike’s audio recordings. Then you will understand from whence I speak.
HOWEVER… TAKE HEED! I feel it is only fair to warn you that the things you will hear and read at the Gospel Revolution website, as well as what you may read here, have the power to thoroughly ruin you as a “good church going Christian.” Taken to heart and thought through, these ideas can provoke huge vital questions about what this whole thing called “evangelical Christianity” really is.
I will tell you this right up front… it is my growing conviction that the Gospel of Christ and the modern evangelical Christian church are headed in totally opposite directions and for good reason.
I do not expect nor ask you to believe what I write here. But my hope is that you will at least think about what you read. It will challenge you concerning some of your basic assumptions about the Christian faith. And for the things you disagree with, you are most welcome to write me your comments and arguments. I do not demand to be right.
So, with that said… grace and peace to you…
Abraham
It is good to hear and read where someone has come to the knowledge of the Truth. I also know Mike Williams and have been greatly impacted by his teachings. The Truth sets us free. I was in bondage to the “church” teaching for a quarter of a century before coming to this knowledge and it has and still is setting me free. I will continue reading on your site.

Roy, thanks for the encouraging remarks and the acknowledgment of the bond we share in the liberty of the Gospel.

Hi Abraham, I’ve listened to you several times on the GKO webcast and I’m happy to see you have a blog too. I just started one myself on my journey out of my Southern Baptist faith. Is it okay if I link your blog? Good luck with the rest of your journey.

Hi
I believe I get what you’re saying, but I have to draw the line at Universalism.
Whilst I agree the offer is there [of total reconciliation of ALL], there is still free will, – God will not remove that and make us robots, or foce Himself [and His Salvation comes with Himself], on those who reject Him.
That said…I hope to come back and explore more with you -as grace is so badly neglected by many Christians…that do not understand that that is where the Power is.
